Third Light IMS as a managed service

Third Light offers a hosted version of our product, ideally suited to organisations with a smaller media library that prefer to outsource their web hosting. Subscriptions are a reliable and high-performance choice for sites with up to 60GB of data, with a range of popular functions at affordable prices.

Web access with no need to buy your own hardware or hosting

IMS is accessed via your normal internet connection and hosted for you in our secure, reliable and high-performance computing facility. There is just one flat fee to use our business-class equipment, designed for total reliability and managed by our expert team. We also provide a firewall for your site.

Continuously updated and fully supported

Subscriptions are covered by our support and upgrades service; the software will be updated automatically for you when new features or improvements are released, and if you have questions you can get in touch with our courteous support team. IMS features are added every month (you can see our track record by reviewing our previous newsletters).

Turn-key e-commerce features

If you are planning to use IMS to sell prints or downloads, Third Light's subscription products include use of our merchant services as standard, and the handling fee is just 5% for GBP, USD and EUR currencies (established merchants can use their own card account on the appliance versions of IMS).

Storage and backups

Unlike many of our competitors who rent servers, Third Light has its own farm of secure web servers and a network of storage systems. IMS Subscription and Virtual Appliance sites use our data storage network. We take care of the resilient storage and backups for you. We use systems specifically designed to withstand faults without downtime, and never use low-price commodity hard drives. Although this approach costs us more, the true price of downtime is far higher.

As an IMS user, you will have a lot of valuable data stored in our system. We realise that digital information can be extremely hard to replace, and we therefore backup your data to an off-site location every day, for total peace of mind.
