Simplified uploads for Third Light users

IMS supports uploads directly from the browser, using a Java Applet. IMS also includes support for FTP, for integration with a wide range of operating systems and existing workflows. For the most convenient, drag-and-drop uploads, Third Light offers a purpose-built desktop upload tool for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Note: a new MacOS X version is currently being developed. For an existing pre-release (beta) version of this tool for MacOS X on Intel-based Macs, please click here. This version is not suitable for production use, and it is recommended that FTP is used where possible on MacOS X. A free FTP client suitable for IMS is available here.

Installing the Upload Tool

The Upload Tool is a standard application which run by double-clicking the application after it has been downloaded. It can be uninstalled at any time using the standard Windows software manager.

Installation Requirements: The Desktop Upload Tool is supported on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. On Windows XP, you may need to install the Microsoft .Net framework before the Uploader will function. If so, during installation you will see a message asking you to install .Net 2.0.
