Reviewing recent searches

IMS keeps a record of recent searches performed, which can be used to help inform future keywording activities.

To review recent searches, open the Reporting -> Recent Searches page. A form at the top of the page allows the list of searches to be refined; by default, for instance, administrators' searches are not displayed. Simply adjust the search form to retrieve only the information you would like to see.

The search can be refined to only list general searches or advanced searches, and can be restricted by time, up to 12 months. The most useful information on busy sites is to filter the report to show unsuccessful searches - that is, searches which returned no results (marked with a red cross).
